I think the thing I could do which would make my son most proud would be to one day write an episode of Doctor Who. That may be beyond me, but who knows. I do enjoy a good twist so I'm sure I could come up with something. Those Whovians can be hard to please however!
Whilst crafting episodes for the Doctor may be someway off(!) I have been thinking about a time travelling story as my next but one project. There won't be a blue police box in it, but colour will play an important part. But it will remain a secret for the time being. As River would say, "Spoilers!".
If I did have a time machine myself though, I would be tempted to try and find some of the lost stories that I wrote. I've no idea what happened to Mr Toast and his Space Library. Or my horror/western crossover "Heads, You Lose". Probably never to be found, alas.
That is one of the great things about technology. There is less chance of losing a file than the old tatty bits of paper that I used to sketch my ideas out on. Whatever the equivalent of a non-smokers "back of a fag packet" is! With cloud technology it is even easier, as my works can pretty much follow me around so that I can work on them whenever I get an opportunity.
Anyway, enough banter. But if you do ever find a screwed up bit of paper with virtually unreadable handwriting on it, it could be one of my lost tales! No pinching my ideas - I may go back in time so day and finish them off!
